This is interesting because we need to know bout " NOW & THEN",the NOW is only sweet when we realize that after the present sweetness there is more to come LATER
The message about living your best life now is the same message as living your best life later. The gospel is about eternal salvation -- and eternity includes right now. It's not about a salvation that occurs somewhere down the road. It's about a salvation that happens now -- from greed, from consumerisim, from patriotism, from the American dream, sins -- which simply bleeds into life after death. The gospel saves us today. The gospel will save us tomorrow. The gospel will save us on the day we die. As many of you know there has been this great divorce between Jesus' message of the Kingdom of God and Paul's message about the cross. We need to work on holding these messages together -- that somehow they are both true. We are both saved and discipled by the cross.
Amen! JESUS is not just the only way to die, but the best way to live....
.. actually.. the ONLY way to live.
